Wanderlust launches new destination branding campaignWindham Mountain
BackDecember 9, 2008 — Troy, NY – Tourism marketing firm Wanderlust announced the launch of the 2008/2009 resort marketing campaign for Windham Mountain. This year’s strategy keeps with Windham’s playful, sophisticated brand identity, while also driving home the core brand message and the successful theme of the past two campaigns – inviting families to “come out and play.” The campaign includes network banner advertising with behaviorally-retargeting, Metro North transit advertising, direct mail, spot radio in the New York City ADI and advertising on Facebook.
“Our knowledge and breadth of destination marketing services enables us to portray the personality of the mountain and communicate the sophisticated, alpine experience it offers to skiers, snowboarders and their families – both online and in mass media,” said Mark Shipley, President and Chief Strategic Officer at Wanderlust. “We successfully rebranded Windham three years ago and continue to explore inventive ways to increase ROI on its marketing investment. With $6 million in renovations this year alone, Windham has redeployed snowmaking equipment throughout the slopes and terrain where it will perform quicker and more effectively. Base Lodge additions include; The Club at Windham Mountain – a private, elegant club, Wunderbar – an upscale, on-the-go dining venue, and the Windham Green Team – a green initiative to address environmental concerns. Set atop the Catskill Mountain High Peaks, Windham Mountain offers a 1600-foot vertical drop from a 3,100-foot summit elevation. Located 25 miles from the New York State Thruway Exit 21,the resort also owns and operates The Winwood Inn, located on Main Street in the town of Windham.
