Tourism Brand Identity Wins Design AwardLogo for Howe Caverns honored by GDUSA
BackNovember 18, 2009 — Destination advertising agency Wanderlust was chosen as the recipient of a 2009 American Graphic Design Award by Graphic Design USA. The Howe Caverns’ corporate brand identity created by Wanderlust was honored with a Certificate of Excellence for communication and graphic design. The identity is part of a tourism branding and advertising campaign the firm launched for Howe Caverns.
“We’re very proud to be included on the list of winners in this prestigious awards competition,” stated Wanderlust’s President and Chief Strategy Officer, Mark Shipley. “It’s gratifying that Howe Cavern’s new identity has been recognized with this, and other design and marketing awards, but we take greater satisfaction in the client’s support of the new brand, and the double-digit increases in visits to Howe Caverns this year. At a time when the industry as a whole is in decline, achieving results like that is the real win for our client,” Shipley said “The Wanderlust team pushed us to think differently about the customer experience and the way we market,” said Bob Holt, General Manager of Howe Caverns. The destination just celebrated its 80th anniversary, and is one of the most visited natural attractions in New York State, second only to Niagara Falls. “Our new identity has helped revitalize our brand and attract a new generation of explorers to our destination.”
